Yesterday, I bought a black MacBook by Apple, which came with a built-in camera in the monitor. Nice feature, and perfect for a daily photo project. The quality is far from perfect, but who needs perfection for self portraits?
You can call me a copy-cat if you want, or you can regard this whole thing as an homage to to Jonathan Keller, who ran the very first daily photo project. When I first heard of it, I thought of it as keeping aging at bay, but going through Jonathans most recent photos, I’m not so sure.
My own daily photo project will not be documentary. I see it as a way of keeping track of my own decay, as I thread from the middle-aged man of 43, that I am today, and into… maturity? ripeness? old age? Well, we’ll see.
Oh yes, this photo is taken at the office at Tullgränd 4 in Gamla Stan (old town), Stockholm.
