El Gordo de la Primitiva Lottery International Promotions Programmes

I won another lottery! I’ve actually stopped counting, and I don’t publish every congratulation email I get, since very many of them are clones of eachother, only sent to my different puplicly available email addresses. But this one is special. It is very explicit, and even came with a registration form, official looking, with a fake waterstamp and complete with barcode and all. (There’s a link to it at the bottom of this page.)

It’s just another scam of course. And published here to help others to see that it is, before they start sending in registration fees to the scammers.

Here goes. The notification that I won the El Gordo de la Primitiva. (I’m so rich!)

well i recieved tha same kind of letter, nd according to it i have won more than 860000 euros, the lottery i never had purchased in my life.
thanx to this web site that i came to know the reality and facts behind that scam.

Well, what can i say? For a couple of minutes, my problems were all solved! I was a bit apprehensive when i saw that they were asking for a copy of my passport/driver’s licence. I called the number given in the letter – 0034 656 301 830 and spoke to Dr Pedro Garcia, as per detailed in the letter.

Dr Garcia(?) was extremely anxious that I send my identification and when I told him the I did not think it prudent, his reply was….. ‘Well, you don’t what the money then’ – and he promptly hung up.

LOL I think this, also, is part of the scam…….

    Pity though……

Hi eberyone, yesterday I recieved this letter from Elgordo but the difference with mine was they also sent me a cheque for $1350.00 CDN funds. The cheque seems to look real to me. So I called the # on the letter and gave them the reference # and they actually told me to go ahead and cash the cheque and then call them back. After I cash the cheque they told me they will require an insurance, shipping fee of $950.00. That will still leave me up $400.00. Could this be for real? Should I cash the cheque? Has anyone else recieved this letter with an actual real cheque? I look forward to hearing from everyone.

    Thanks

Well guys Dr Mario Sanchez has resurfaced. Received letter 10/9/07. Letter worded as many above. Letter was posted from Malaga, Spain. I had won 615,810 euro’s. As you did, my first thought was scam. Checked the internet and found this site which confirmed my suspicions. Please note a slight difference in their latest letter. It states that I, along with 25 000 others, were picked at random by a computer to receive a promotional entry to La Primtiva Lottery. Which, of couse I won a share of first prize. Get real. Many thanks for info on site. Letter will be in bin shortly.

    Cheers

Well I never, Dr Sanchez must be a bit busy signing letters as he seems to have got his assistant, Antonio Gomez to write to me to tellm me I’ve won 615,810 euro’s.
They should use some of the money to buy a new prnter as the inkjet machine they are using doesn’t print the bar code or company name very well at all on the cheap paper they use.
How can anyone take this seriously?
They ask for so much personal information including more next of kin details than trainee astronauts have to provide.
Sorry for the rant, apart from winning 615,800 euro’s I must have had a bad day!

Just wondering if anyone has recieved the letter as well as a cheque? In all these postings I seem to be the only lucky person who recieved an actual cheque with the letter for amount of $1350.00. I have been too scared to cash it still. I look forward to hearing from everyone.

I just revieved one of these letters from a Dr RINA SANCHEZ (very academic family, their parents must be so proud).

This one was from a company called PACIFIC SEGUROS SA ESPANA. It did look legit although it claimed to have an address in Madrid but had a malaga postmark on it. Maybe he posted it when he was on holiday.

I too would like to know where they got my address. Should I hand this to the police or something or is there not much point?

You could try the police, or rather you should. But don’t have too much hope that they will be able to anything about it. Policing is still a lokal activity, while scamming is global…

I have got about a same letter. First I didn’t believe it at all, I nearly put it on trash.. Today I did use time spelling the letter with dictionary, becouse I wanted to be sure I really understand the message. Am I really a winner? And today I finally started to believe that now the money-problems of me and my family are finally gone away for a while… Well, the paper is cheap and stamps are fuzzy…. :(

But miy faher has few years ago take a part of some international lottery program. He has sent them some mony even, so that they would handle a lottery-prosess on behalf of him. I warned my father, but now…. Now it seemed to be succeed in that. Could this still be real? Are you sure this is feak? Or was it a cheat?

If this kind of lottery-program is REALLY going on in Europe, it’s not a surprise that swindlers are in a way also. But how could youi be suri, is this one feak or not?

Recieved a very similar letter today thought it was too good to be true, and would be worth checking out on the web to see if it is a scam and I think the answer would be YES!!!!!!. Got a different agent called Raul Torres, just something else to look out for. What a shame the money would have been lovely!!!!

    Hi

I don`t know what to say. I`m happy to read this homepage and to have a careful mom.
Our story is: My parents traveled from Germany to portugal with car in 15. August and my mom had to stay for a few hours in Hospital in Spain. Last week they got a letter written in German. ”Translated Copy” was written on it. My mom read it and didn`t react because she is a very careful person. My mom asked where they got her adress from. Ì don`t live there since June 2006.
My Parents don`t use e-mail very often and don`t get spam-mails. When i saw the letter without reading i could see that it is a fake.
The stamp was a bad printed copy and put on it. The quallaty of the print was not very professional. a lot of mistakes. It was imitating a hologram saying ”Loterias y Apuestas del Estado”.

#The win was 615.810 EUROS. They wwrite that there are 17 winners and with totaly 10.468.770 Euros. If they don`t react to the letters to get the money, the Win will be send back to Ministerio de Economia y Hacienda.
The Category was Number 3 and my mom`s Winning numbers are 13-15-16-21-34-36. The also write a Cardnumber with Seriennumber that win. But she doesnt have any card and din`t play anything.
Adresse was Madrid Telefone 0034-636-662-492. Elgordo Lotería Primitiva With EAN Bar-Code and Send from Jose L. Miguel but signed by someone else. seems like G.Antonio.
The Agent is Don Pedro Delgado from
    Global Hogar Security S.A.Comp.
Guzman el Bueno 137, 28001 Madrid.

A second page was to send to Global Hogar in which mymom may wirte her adress and the way how to get money. She can choice between bank transfer, Cheque or get money directly. Unfortunatly I don`t know anyone how lives in Madrid to get the money direcrly. I have to send fax back till 3. Oktober 2007.

It is interesting that they change little details in the letters but they all seem to be from the same person how belongs into jail for this fake.

I will sent this pages to German TV and wait for any reaction. No one offers money for free.

I called at my mothers house sat. am. with her weekend newspaper after visiting the local gym. She was still in her dressing gown at 9.15 and she hadn’t touched her bowl of cereal. ”Mike” she said, ”you better look at this, I,ve read it twice and I’m 95% sure its official”.
    First thoughts ”SCAM”
She thought she had won €925,000.00 The letter went like this:-
    ATTENTION: The Award Winner,
This is to inform you on the release of the EL- GORDO DE LA PRIMITIVA PROGRRAM held on the 27th July 2007. Due to a mix up of some numbers and names, the results were released on the 25th September 2007. Your name attached to ticket number 031-1127-841 with serial number 3214-07 drew the lucky numbers of 21-22-37-39-41-49 which consequently won the lottery in the 3rd category. You have therefore been approved for a lump sum payout of €925,000.00 (NINE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND EUROS ONLY). This is just the start of the letter which was accompanied by a Payment Processing Form asking about payment options.
Please complete immediatly along with photo ID
    1. BANK TRANSFER (asking for bank details) 2. CERTIFIED CHEQUE 3. PERSONAL CASH PICK. Also asking for name, address & tel. no. of next of kin.
there was a claims agent MR HUGO SANCHEZ Foreign operations manager SANTALUCIA SEGUROS, S.A. On Tel. 0034-695252137.
If anyone reading this with a time difference of over +5 or -5 hrs can they telephone him in the middle of the night spanish time and interupt his sleep I’d be very appreciative. To minimise the cost of your call go to web site TeleDiscount and find the pre fix number to dial before the one above for Hugo Sanchez.
My mother has played the El Gordo lottery a few times and with owning a couple of weeks timeshare in Spain this is probably how they obtained her address.
We were keeping this info from the rest of the family until the cheque was in the bank. Still under caution about the whole thing we discussed in detail of how the money would be distributed amongst the family and being mortgage free etc. this really put a spring in our step until finding this web site in work on Monday morning. Gobshites!

I just got my lottery winning notification letter through my door. It’s got a picture of a fella with with a beard handing a cheque to some other fella with a beard, and his short, stocky wife. They look thrilled. So am I. Apparently I’ve won 785,510.00 Euros in the Loterias Y Apuestas Del Estado which I don’t seem to remember entering. The text is pretty much word for word as the examples given by other people on this website. As it happens, I was in Spain on Aug 24th when my winning ticket was ‘selected’. But I don’t remember giving my address to anyone. Apart from to the hotel. Where are they getting people’s details? Maybe my claims agent Mr Ephraim Finely can tell me, once I’ve faxed off all my bank and credit card details plus a cheque for 10% of my winnings. The whole thing disturbs me. This is the first time I’ve experienced one of these kind of scams.

Has anyone recieved an actual cheque with the Scam letter? Why am I the only person who actually got a cheque from a bank in Calgary for the amount of $1250.00 Candian funds. I am scared to cash it because then they will have my banking info. I called the # on the letter and he told me to cash it and then call him back and then they will require an insurance fee of $950.00. What should I do??Any ideas??? Thanks

Reading through these letters wakes me up to realise that I have just lost $3000 in payment to get the money that I have won according to there terms and condition. It was exactly the same letters that are going around. I was so embarassed I wanted to bury myself alive as I went and told all my friends that I will recieved $600,000 how dump of me. Now my Mum is comforting me at home and telling me not to go see my friends anymore, cos they expect me to share the winning. Lets bring them to justice.

Got the same letter here in South Africa. I normally keep a very low profile on Internet and the only two instances during the last year where I supplied my information, has been in the last two weeks leading up to receipt of the letter. I am interested in importing from China and registered with Alibaba.com and Asian Winner. Supplied my info exactly as it was copied on the envelope from ”Spain”. Certain the link can be found with one of these two companies. Think I will ever do business with any one of them?

You have all my sympathies. But don’t be embarassed, be angry. And take the whole thing to the local authoroties. The more people who react, and file their complaints with the police, the bigger the chance that something can be done about scammers like this.

    @Henk:
Great warning signs. But there is also quite a big chance that the scammers just registered to see other contacts, and picked your data from the site.

I am so glad that i read all the notes by other people.
I am very short of cash and was a little over whelmed to see the letter.
I will not be sending all my details as i do not konw what will be done with them.
I think these scams are so wrong because for people like me that are in debt are looking for a way out and this just makes me feel really bad.

I just got home to find a letter from Spain..I know no one there and once i had opened the letter, whala! it said i won a million euros from El Gordo international lottery program…I called the number given to find out more about it and the contact person given was not in (according to the person i spoke to he said that he was in belgium and did not know when he would be back) as i spoke to someone else…..am bilingual and spanish is my second tongue. the person on the other end switched to english because he claimed he did not understand what i was talking about…..however i continued in spanish and he replied back in english (he sounded like he was from african origin). He claims it was official so i got in touch with the ministro de economia y hacienda in Madrid to be told that it was a scam. After i checked around and saw this site i was reliefed to find that this was a scam and that i was not the only one who got this letter or email..pity…..that money would have done nicely for my wedding and honeymoon next year!!! oh well….luckly i had the sense to look further….So anyone else who may have gotten this letter watch out!

    Hi there,

i also received such a letter from spain. And for the first time i opened a letter like this because of the real stamp attached to the envelope. I won 815.510 Euro, and i only had to send back the formular or call Mr. Alex Gomez.
Unfortunaly i didn’t play lotto in the last year. And the translation into German was really bad, hardly to understand… And no Signature, only a printed one. Because of this i luckily couldn’t take it serious and googled it. The name of Mr Gomez took me to your Site, Nikke! Thank you very much for your work and all you other guys for your replies, i wouldn’t have found this site without your detailed description of your letters including the names.
Look on the bright side of life: In my case it costed them the price of one stamp! And the have to send a lot of letters and need a lot of stamps… ;-)
Best regards and keep on being good people!
    Michael

    …once again: Thank you, Nikke!

My wife got a similar letter today, although they have changed the name of the security company to GLOBAL HOGAR SECURITY S.A. and the chaps name is now DON LUIS BENITO. Otherwise the scam is the same. Thanks for your bringing it to everybody’s attention. I think it’s disgraceful the way that these scum bags target people who are usually the least likely to be able to afford to lose this money.

My neighbours (elderly and limited english) received this letter – they won 315,810 euros. They do not have access to internet, fax or any other ”modern” means of communication. How do these scammers get their name and address. Luckily they have good family and neighbours and did not return any information but I would like to know more on their behalf

Received a letter today from The Desk of the Vice President, International Promotions, Murcia. The letter is almost identical to the ones mentioned above, but it refers to a win on Lototurf Internacional, a bona fide and long running Spanish horse racing lottery. The contact is–Don David Sanchez, senior advocate for a supposed law firm by the name of Allied Chambers Abogados Alicante. This is just another rip-off using a different lottery name and official sounding contacts. To quote; All participants’ tickets were purchased through the lagoon touristica by the customer relations of many global companies e.g. airline, insurance, and other consumer goods or services companies drawn from 25,000 names; unquote. This is their way of saying that we don’t have to personally buy a lottery ticket. I don’t know how they got our names and address, but our recent visit to Mexico may have something to do with it. They were also very kind to show a photocopy of our ‘winning’ ticket. This is a good site folks, so take heed of the advice Nikke and all the other contributers give. Keep up the good work.

    Hi guys,

    Thanks for this site, Nkke.

    Hi,
Thanks for this webpage mate! When I got the letter, I thought, well I can speak Spanish, why should I pay the 10% fee to the insurance company, and I can just ask for a cheque so it’s safer. Then it dawned on me, this is just a mail they photocopy. It IS sent from Spain, but the letter doesn’t have my name on it, only the enveloppe has my name and address, the rest of the document is on poor quality paper with a colour inkjet printer. Now why would they send a poor man’s printout? I’ve never seen such a poor-looking official document, but because I willed it to be true, I did have to check online. Deadline to claim my 674349 euros is 16 Nov 2007. Anyway, hy would the vice president of Alliance Security Company Ltd write to me, why not Mr Andaluz’s secretary?

We received the same letter today from these pricks in the 3rd world country of Spain (that’s why they’re scamming). We dreamt for 5 mins then rang the phone number provided, spoke to a Don guy (lol all the names above are from a Don guy). I played with him for a while when I realised it was a scam, and all the time I was trying to speak, he’d butt in and say ‘just listen to me’. I said I’m not sending any money to him, and he said ‘fine, you don’t have to’. I then said to him that before I’d fax him any details, I’d check with my local police and authorities here in Australia, he didn’t seem phased, he hears it all the time. These scum bastards from other countries are quite funny to me, as I know they are trying to scam poor bastards like us for money they obviously need to live. They can’t do an honest days work to earn their money, the low life scum sucking pricks. They’ll get caught one day or something bad will happen to them, I believe in karma. It did cost me an international call, but who gives a f**k, I heard the goose’s voice and got him all excited thinking I believed him lol. To be honest, I have better things to do with my time. This is a great site, I only hope no one has been sucked in by these Dons or Marias. And why the f**k does every amount here end in 810 e.g. we ‘won’ Euro 315,810, someone else ‘won’ Euro 915,810. That’s discrimination, we missed out on Euro 600,000, which works out to be a gazillion aussie dollars lol. Only joking, thanx again for this site, and as mentioned a thousand times above, you never win anything for nothing. Regards to all.

I was also sent this same letter some days ago to the apartment in Berlin where I used to live. Its so sad that some people really believe in letters like the one mentioned here. I had seen documents about this kind of criminal acts in finnish television channels years ago, so I knew not to trust something this funny.

Thanks for making the sites, as we can see it has helped many people with internet connection to avoid from criminality.

Hi there especially Ellin Khali from Malaysia,

I’m from Malaysia too. I also received a letter from ElGordo Primitiva Loteria mid of this month mentioned that i won a lotery with amount of Euros 615,800. First of all i was thinking it is true. They want me to submit the payment processing form together with my bank details. I did that!! then i realised that i made a mistake. I took an action to check in the internet about this company. This is a scam programe. Please notice that the letter is printed in inkjet and blured scan. An agent name David Gill (and i don’t know what his others name and he speak very bad english)claim he’s from Midland Seguros SA will do all the processing of transfer the fund to my account. And another guy name Phil Borja claim as an officer from Guardian International Bank Madrid Spain called me and ask me to make a payment of USD1250 to my agent or the processing fee. Then i’m thinking what the hell is this all about. They require a 5% commission from my winning amount and then ask me to pay usd 1250. what the fuck is this. i know something not right.
Then i check with bank of espana ( spain central bank) and there is no such Guardian International Bank in Madris, spain. I also read a lot of report about this scam program. Police of Spain also did mentioned to beware of Phil Borja from Guardian International Bank. So be carefull with this scam programe. Phil Borja and David Gill is a big scammer. Beware of them. I’m sorry to say that all these scammer are come from poor country and there’re trying to steal our money. Go and get a good job guy. It’s good for you to wash the plate in restaurant rather than stealing people money. God will revenge anything you done wrong guy.

Hi, got the same letter today from the same lot, Euro 615,810 won on spanish lotto. Knew straight away it was a scam. Problem is, these bastards do get money from some poor unsuspecting people and thats why they keep on doing it. Fair dues to this website and other sites like it for trying to make the general public more aware of these scams, keep up the good work… Paul in Ireland

    Thanks Nikke, for this website!

I’ve had two of these letters in the last couple of weeks. One was concerning the Loturf Internacional Easter Program and the other one was about the Spanish Lotto Nacional Lottery Program.

I do wonder where they got my address from, especially since they had got my UK address correct and then added Norway at the bottom (I used to live in Norway).

Obviously too good to be true, so I just put them away and decided to check the internet for information.

My wife just received one of these letters yesterday 7th Niovember 2007, and it looked TOO GOOD to be true. I also wondered where they got her correct name from? A mention of comming from travelling ticket foils gave a little credence to the letter as she had been travelling overseas to China earlier this year, so are these a source of gathering this information?
Decided to check up on the ‘So Called’ company and sure enough it is a scam. I do not know if the authorities here in New Zealand are interested, will check on this though. Thank goodness for the information that is available on the internet.

    Hello folks!
I was scamed as you. received the letter today saying I received the exact sum of 315.810.00 euros (it seems others have won that same amount!!)hmmn..
I am a poor student, thought oh well it might be true,I was actually in spain this spring and so on…
so PLEASE do not be fooled. And as someone mentioned; look at the cheap quality of paper, and better yet the signature at the bottom is even copied as well!!! They messed it up BAD. So Dear Espinosa José Sanchez (who ever you are..!) remember that what you give you get and all things must come to and end. As this. Thankyou Nikki for creating this forum. Anne

    Bonsoir,

Aadeel.

Hi, I received such a letter in the post today. I immediately smelled the rat and then found this website. Isn’t there a European law which deals with the criminals like these? Should I not report this to the police? If so, would anything be done about it?

    Best wishes,

i was in spain during the summer. we had to list our home address at some of the hostels we were staying. i guess they are picking up adresses that way..

    Hi,

Just got a snailmail letter with the same content. I ‘won’ 615,810.00 euros in LA PRIMITIVA LOTTERY.

This was the first time I got one through normal mail. They even spent 58 eurocents on a stamp…

I found the logos etc. of poor quality, not exactly something you may expect from a company that gives away millions of euros…

Also it was stamped in Malaga, some 1000 kms away from the comany’s address.

Off course this kept me busy and asked my son to look it up on the internet.

many people in Holland received exactly the same ‘prize’ and some were asked to pay 10 percent ahead of payment.

The Dutch police also have placed a warning in the press against these letters.

Would have been nice to really win a prize like this, but I never do lotteries. That’s also the strange thing: you ‘win’ a huge amount of money in a lottery you never heard of. This should always ring some bells.

    Godblessu,

Ireland here and you guessed it, I got home today to find I won €615,810… no mortage, build that extension, and get that new sports car NOT. After making a cuppa, flipped open the laptop and did a SCAM search, got 1,000s of hits on this scam.

The way the name and address where writen, got me thinking; Surname and then First name, and the address was in a format I only ever used in my phone book listing, which I never used anywhere else, is the phone company selling he phone database to scammers?

    Cheers,Paul.

Mvh Frida

I got one today, but it had a REAL stamp and was franked from Spain on the letter, and my address was hand-typed on the front. I live in Austria (but was in Spain in August/September) and I think someone is passing on information from the airlines to the person responsible for this. I will now fill out the form as Micheal Mouseywurst, (mouse-sausage) fax it, and let them think they have caught a fish. Bas**rds.

Just to tell that I had a 3rd letter to day, stating it was a ”final notice” – and also I won 615,810 euro – nice :-)

The contact person had changed to Dr. Paul David, Foreign Operation Manager.

The attention name on the envelope is the one I had two years ago, and the only way to get that name is from my MasterCard or plane-ticket to China.

Best regards to all – Regitze

Hi All Like Jonas I am supposed to have won 615,810 Euros!!.The letter arrived this morning 12/12/2007.Bullshit of course but what is interesting is the way my address is written. This is in a form only given on the City of Edinburgh, Scotland Electoral Register so the Scammers must be taking names from the electoral register and fishing hoping to catch a sucker.
Unfortunately some other Scammers are also targeting poor Africans by E Mail telling them they have won the British Lottery and to send cash & details to get their winnings. These people leave a mobile telephone number and when you phone it up[ it turns out to be another African living in the UK.

    Dearest One

Assalam alaikum and may the peace of gracious Allah be with you, please I have a problem which I needed a help from you,I have decided to write you for help.

I have a proposal for you-this however is not mandatory nor will I in any manner compel you to honour against your will.I am in a state of mind and your profile pushed me to send you this mail,

I am Amina Hassan, 19 years old and the only daughter of my late parents Mr. and Mrs.Hassan. My father was a highly reputable business magnet (a cocoa merchant) who operated in the capital of Ivory coast during his days.It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in France during one of his business trips abroad.Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of his who travelled with him at that time. But Allah knows the truth! My mother died when I was just 4 years old, and since then my father took me so special.

Before the death of my father he secretly called me on his bed side and told me that he has the sum of Seven million, five hundred thousand United State Dollars. US($7.500,000) left in fixed/suspense account in one of the prime banks here in Abidjan ,that he used my name as his only daughter for the next of Kin in depositing of the fund.

I am just 19 years old and a university undergraduate and really don’t know what to do. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life.

I am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards.Your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded. Now permit me to ask these few questions:-
    1. Can you honestly help me as your daughter?
    2. Can I completely trust you?
    3. What percentage of the total amount in question will be good for you after the money is in your account? Please,
Consider this and get back to me as soon as possible.

Thank you so much.My salaam to your family.

    My sincere regards,
    Amina Hassan.contact email addre aminamy55@yahoo.fr

    Important!

I received one of these letters too, with a processing form aswell. But, please, don’t just bin them!

Bear in mind that they are printed single sided so they make excellent drawing paper for the kids! ;-)

    €615,810 ! I’ll probably hand in my notice today…

    Donald’s question translated into English:
How can you be absolutely sure it is a scam?
Was there an e-mail address or link where you could verify your winnings? Is it all related to international internet lottery scam eller was there ever a real lottery too?

I have received the same kind of letter just yerterday, My contact person instead is a MR.LUKE J CARLOS in Spain… when i read the email i knew it was a scam, cos i couldnt believe i could have won € 750.000.00 for something i have never done!… but i gotta admit that when reading this email, you’re really tempted and you mind start making calculations, creating dreams of your lives and what you will do with this huge amount of money….. that’s why i’d say that these people have guts to do this.. but rest assured my fellow victims, cos the famous word, ‘what goes around comes around’ is very true, and that’s all i can say now to those senseless and headless people!…..

Hi! But can anyone, please, tell me what to think if I receive this kind of letter with the following request to send money for bank fee – BUT my husband who has passed away really DID receive invitation by mail to take part in this lottery about a year or more ago and he DID. And now there is this notification about winnings AND they also sent what they say is his ticket with the right numbers ( I do not know what numbers my husband marked there ). I read in Wikipedia that actually La Primitiva Lottery is a legal thing, but all this with these letters asking for money is a scam. AND – cheking in La Primitiva Lottery publications in internet( L.A.E. – Loterias y Apuestas del Estado – Result ) I saw the exact numbers that are on their resent ticket !!
and the winning lump sum was the same I was announced. Is everything scam alltogether or just the letter ???? I am confused.

Votre Justicier !!

I just received a letter in the post from Malaga. It was addressed with my full name, even with the un-intentional mis-spelling by my parents of my middle name! They could only have that information if I wrote my full name somewhere on one of my many trips to Spain and that paper was passed on to someone unscrupulous.

In the back of my mind, however, I do wonder if someone somewhere is claiming all our ‘winnings’ instead of us! I don’t for a minute believe that to be the case!

Thank you for keeping this site up and running as this was the first place that came up when I googled ”La Primitiva.” This information has saved me a lot of time, and clearly a lot of my own money too.

Guess my shredder will be fed today !

I have just received a letter from La Primitiva International S.L stating that I have won 1,350,000 Euros….letter looked official, sounded good….has a Spanish stamp on it and an address: C/ Serrano no 31, Planta 12A, 28204 Madrid-Spain…From the desk of the Vice President International Promotion/Prize Draw Dept…and a telephone number: 00 34 634 020 100 and two contact names Frank Lopez and Quincy Seguros 00 34 655 409 780 ….quincysrguros33@gmail.com…..
There was no claim form or request for money…just these contact details and a statement saying that I would need to claim the award in Madrid by July 30th 2008. To start the claim process I am supposed to call Quicy Seguros…it also states that the aforementioned will receive 5% of the award onky after it has been paid into my nominated account….but after reading the many entries here,,,it would seem to be a new spin on an old scam!!

  • Almost Another Victim

    Hi,

I just received such lotto info into my email account.

I want to tell you, not only Europa, US, Mid-East Asia… but also South America are the targets for this scam…

As I realized the mail came from Spain, I replied in spanish and tried to call the number that appeared in the scam email.

They had my name and my email info… Apparently, Primitiva and El Gordo are legal official lottos; That’s was my error, and so I believed the information was true.

They sent me again a .jpg form document file for submitting a personal information, but I fortunately never replied again.

Probably they’ll use my name as Contact Agent…

I sent to the police the scamming emails copies and now I know one of the emails from the scammer process. Is this :

    inforsl@aim.com

Beware of this Email… Don’t accept nothing from it.

    Thanks !!!

I sent to the police the scamming emails copies and now I know one of the emails from the scammer process. Is this :

    inforsl@aim.com

Beware of this Email… Don’t accept nothing from it.

    Thanks !!!

Hi there, i received this same letter from Malaga yesterday. Clearly a scam. Never entered any lottery in Spain, frankly you’d have to be desperate or retarded to fall for this one.(i mean desperate enough to fool yourself into believing it.)

These people are scum and do not realise the impact this can have on people. My father received a La Primitiva letter saying he’d won 900,000 euro, my father has Parkinsons disease which often leads to him thinking that people are doing things behind his back and thats exactly what happened when my mother and myself tried to explain that this was a scam, he actually thought that we were trying to con him out of his money. Thank god for the people who write in to sites like this as this has allowed me to prove that it is a scam. These people need to be caught before more trusting people are caught out.

    Hallo!

I received an AWARD NOTIFICATION today from LA PRIMITIVA LOTTERY INTERNATIONAL PROMOTIONS PROGRAMME. It’s a cone, plain and simple and it still going on.

The award letter is a giveaway – it doesn’t even have your name on it, which tells you it’s a generic one sent out by the thousands.

My advise is to report it to the Spanish Embassy London 020 7235 5555

I had received the same letter from them, that I won lottery an amount of 615,810 euro and I and my wife were thinking where they got my name and address so we were very amazed to see that and my heart was beating that time, because when I saw that amount of money I was chocked, so someting came to our mind to check Google whether it is true or not but, it was really fake lottery winning. Therefore, everyone must be carefully about those deceivers. Bank number, Passport and the rest.

    Thanks.

I received this scam letter too. It arrived in a typed envelope with spanish stamp and included my middle initial, full address and postcode. How did they get all these details?? We rang and spoke to a Pablo Garcia who urged us to fax the form urgently (presumably to get the information before I realised what was happening…) Luckily, my estranged husband is extremely shrewd and on showing him the letter he immediately recognised it as a scam. What dreadful people they are, preying on people who may be vulnerable and in desperate need of funds. Thanks for this website – isn’t there some international ‘watchdog’ who can nail them??

Hi there its thursday 11th December 2008, im sat infront of my computer shaking my head in disbelief that i nearly got suckered in by these conmen. I to received a similar letter to the various one’s described which detailed that i had won 825,039 euro’s. I even spoke with a man calling himself Don Juan Diego supposedly based in spain with the telephone number 0034 605 532 145. Anyway whilst talking to this guy i mind said that this guy is suppose to have a spanish accent instead his speech sounded african which i couldnt work out. To cut a long story short Mr D Diego informed me that i needed to pay 990 pounds beforemy check which had apparently been cleared could be released. This told me enougth that the whols thing was a scam and to make matters worse this joker honestly believes that im going to pay this money before releasing my so called check. I intendto contact the consumer watch dog to alert the british public concerning this scam

Hi everyone! I just recieved a letter like yours today. I was embarassed that I googled at all instead of just throwing the letter straight in the bin… Having said that I’m happy that this is the first website that popped up! Excellent work!
I read above that we should send the original letter to a certain Stephen Teeling in Hampshire but that was in 2007. I guess you have more than enough letters now… Is someone still investigating this group of people? I think I will just report it to the local police station here, in Norway, and see if they can do something about it. Maybe warn others…

I’m truly sorry, but in case you didn’t buy in to their scam, I’m afraid no crime has occured in the eyes of the law. At least not serious enough for the police to start an international investigation involving police agcencies from Portugal, Spain and whatever country the scammer send the letter from or recide in… It’s sad, but the police don’t seem to understand this kind of fraud.

hi, I am Yudi F Pandean from Indonesia and I wnt to ask this is real?

    WINNING INFORMATION/OUR SERVICES

    Attention: Yudi ferdinand pandean,

Congratulations from our members of staff. This is the Claims Department of El Gordo de la Primitiva Lottery International Promotions Programmes responsible for the processing of winning prizes in the e-mail lottery program. Your e-mail address attached to a single ticket was found as one of the lucky fifty e-mail addresses that emerged to have won €1,200,000.00 (One million Two Hundred Thousand Euro only) in Certified Bank Draft, each. The information was passed to us by the Lottery Coordinator – Sweepstakes International office, to ensure that we are in contact with the rightful owners of the winning e-mails and web-site addresses. We write to explain and clarify the mode and chronologue of the services we render to our clients of lottery claim related issues.

Your email address attached to our Lottery payment order, had the following
    details in our DATA BASE: Ticket Nr.: 18457SP; (ii) Lucky Nrs.: 11-34-75-54- 977; (iii) Reference Nr.: 5687SPL876;(iv) Batch Nr.: EEMSP L/1 7 9/M;

Firstly, our ultimate concern is that our clients get their winning prizes as quickly as it is possible. You are therefore required to print out the attached ”Claim Verification Form” and fill in the required details and return back to this office by fax or as e-mail attachment with a copy of your valid proof of identification (which should be, either a National Identity Card or your International Passport) for verification. After been confirmed as the bonafide winner, a ”Release Order” will be issued and you will be invited to sign this document after which a ”Beneficiary Award Certificate” will be presented to you. You will also be required to complete a ”Payment Scheme Form B6″, where you will have to indicate your preferred mode of payment. Your winning prize being deposited at the Treasury department of our Paying bank will therefore be eventually paid/remitted in your preferred mode of payment, within 3 working days.

Due to mix-up of certain numbers and names, you are requested to keep your winning information confidential until your claim has been processed and winning prize paid/remitted to your nominated account. This is part of our security protocols to avoid abuse of the program by some participants.

Due to the volume of your winning prize, it is covered by HIGH INSURANCE POLICY BOND, in accordance with Article 342 of the World Gaming Board as amended in the 1996 Constitution. This is to protect the prime winner and mis-appropriation of funds.

Be assured that, in line with our principles of efficiency, transparency and customers` satisfaction, we handle all verification exercises with the highest level of professionalism and discretion to ensure that our clients receive their prizes within the shortest time, possible.

For more information, please contact the under-signed directly on+34-675-356-263. We are open between 0800hrs -1800hrsGMT from Mondays through Fridays and on Saturdays from 0700hrs -1200hrs GMT.

    Once again, Congratulations.

    Best Regards,

    Dr. Robert Brook.

I got a letter in my mailbox 3 days ago. If had got it in my e-mailbox i would have deleted it at once, but since it was on paper i started wondering. I checked it out on the internet and of course it was a bluff, just as I thought.
But it would have been nice to collect 615 810 euro:)
My letter was from ”La Primitiva” and the bastard ”Mr. Antonio Sanchez” who I guess isn’t real either. Damn those people who tries to cheat people like that!!!

I received the same old letter today (5.1.09). All that differs is the contact details. In this case, the address is C/Carraca De Mayor 4-9, 28038 Madrid. Tel 0034 – 634 – 136 – 896. it is linked with a security company called Global Security S.A. at an address Calle Ayala, 349/75 Blk 7D, C.P. 28006 Almeria, Madrid. The agent’s name is given as Tony Cantona, Barrister (yeah, right!) His tel is 00-34-651-945-765, email tonycantona2006@yahoo.es. They also want me to leave all my bank details, passport, next of kin details etc.
I am thankful that this site exists, because otherwise I might be tempted…785,510 Euros is a lot to turn ones back on!!
Is there any official body that would look into this scam?
Best wishes for a scam-free and honestly-come-by wealthy new year to you all!

Thanks for this website! I live in Canada and I have never been to Spain…I did however just recently travel to Dominican Republic, and do remember putting my e-mail address down at the check-in of my all inclusive hotel…So it makes sense as to why my so called ”winning notification” arrived by e-mail this morning. It would also make sense that all of these hotel owners have your personal information, and perhaps have connections with the scammers?? Just a thought as to where your personal information may be going without you knowing! They also must be changing names…My letter came from a Sra. Ana Obregón Benitez. I just hope more and more people realize that this is a scam, and to no waste their time or money on it!

  • http://www.lindqvist.com/ Nikke

Not much I’m afraid. It requires international cooperation between police forces in several countries. The scammer might be mailing from one country – the receiver is in another and the actual scam goes down in a third…

Since the amounts are seldom that big (often not more than a couple of hundred dollars) it is not all that prioritized by the police and certanly not important enought for Interpol or other cross-border police organisations.

GROUPAMA, a large French insurer, was caught in a $200m software PIRACY case and has made an unofficial affidavit (claiming that it was not guilty) to divert BEFTI (an elite Police brigade dedicated to I.T. frauds) investigators from the evidences officially collected one month ago at a different office.

In the affidavit it cooked, GROUPAMA argued that ”BANK SECRECY” entitled it to limit the scope of Police investigations to a building that was not the place where evidences about the infraction were officially collected one month ago.

After the fraud was discovered and denounced by the victim (who finally got access to the investigation file), as GROUPAMA managed to have the General Prosecutor of Paris to state that Police was ‘right’ to ignore the criminal file and focus only on the irrelevant information provided by GROUPAMA itself, there is room for serious doubts in the way that affair was conducted.

All the details, including the General Prosecutor reply, the BEFTI investigation file and the unofficial affidavit cooked by GROUPAMA have been made publicly available, see:

INTERNATIONAL LOTTERY PRIMITIVA: We received a letter too winning 678.789.44 euros!! These guys came to Greece. I’ve no idea how to stop them. Is there anything here to report it? To the embassy of Spain may be? I was wondering which are their profits.

plz suggest me i m safe or nt.
    thanx.

It depends on what kind of security your bank applies I’d say. Check with them that they won’t pay out anything by fax order. Theses scammers are after different things. Some want to steal your identity, some want you to pay commissions, fees, taxes and even bribes until you give up and realize that they aren’t legit.

And we can’t blaim the Spanish police in this case since the scammers could just as well be situated in the UK, Nigeria or Russia… We all need to get better at checking up email addresses and do some simple Google research before believing everything that lands in our mail.

    Hi! My name is Dina.
I have recently recieved a letter by post from ”Premio de la primitiva ” Notification Final, send to me to claim my prize of 450.000 euros. The letter is written in Spanish and also the adress of the ”Office”, but the letter was posted in Lisbon, Portugal (?).
Very strange..because I don´t know that I have participated in such lottery. And also why my full name are not written in the notification letter, just on the envelope? I mean, it`s such a lot of money!!
The signature on this letter is also strange, because I could se that it`s a copy and not real ink!
So, please-Watch up – Don´t believe everything! If you get a strange feeling about it-Check it out!!

Thank you everybody for sharing your experience, so we can help each other and to prevent such scammers/ Dina, Sweden

I got the same letter dated 09/08/2010 from Lisbon promising me Euro 950000.
Keep your hands of such scam or even better try to find an authority in your country that can treat those criminal behaviours. I unfortunately did not yet find one. If anyone knows whom to address with such a demand please let us all know.

Hi from Norway! Now I see that my suspicions had very firm ground. I got the same leter dated by 09/08/2010 from Portugal according to the stamp. First, I was surprised that the lottery took place in Madrid and the letter had been sent from Portual. Second, I don`t believe in such a luck without any participation, any actions from my side. They said I won 3-rd prise that was 950 000 Euros. So, I tried to find any info about this ”lottery” in the web and thanks God I found this website and all my suspicions confirmed at once. Internet is power!!!Knowledge is power. People have to share this important info with others to protect them from this fraud.

Lotteries can be exciting, can’t they? I really enjoy reading your posts – keep up the good work.

I also enjoy the posts on UKLotteryDraw.com.

Hi! Thx for this side. I also recived a letter, and looking on the dates, its seems like this scam has been going on for a while…. I live in norway, and have never participaded in any form for a lottery in spain, so i concluded this for a scam right a way. But how do they pick out ”victems”?where did they get my add from. I hope someone will put a stop for this, so other people dont make the same mistake that others allready have done… Hope things turn out good for the people that actullly belived in this, and that they have learned! When something is to good to be true, they allways are:)

I was recieving The Letter” today in Vienna, and sooooo Lucky is not usual on me, so thank you for the infomation,I also could notice little spelling mistakes because I am spanish and the letter is from ”Santa Lucia Insurance” a famous and serious Spanish company, so it makes people confuse!!
Please before to do anything MAKE SURE!!!!!

  • http://www.lindqvist.com/ Nikke

I’m truly sorry, but in case you didn’t buy in to their scam, I’m afraid no crime has occured in the eyes of the law. At least not serious enough for the police to start an international investigation involving police agcencies from Portugal, Spain and whatever country the scammer send the letter from or recide in… It’s sad, but the police don’t seem to understand this kind of fraud.

  • http://www.lindqvist.com/ Nikke

Scam – fraud. Stay away from them!
