Euro Millones Lottery
Two big lottery prizes in just a couple of days! I missed this on Friday, but it’s almost too good to be true! Alas I didn’t win the really large prize in the Euro Millones Lottery. (What language could that be anyway?) Only a “consolation cash prize” of 1,300,000:00 Euro. Too bad it’s a scam though.
How come people think that anyone would believe that someone paying out millions of Euro would use a hotmail address? Here’s the sting, a really poorly written lottery scam mail:

I do a lot of surveys which pay you with lottery entries.When I received an email for Herman Franklin to say I had won the British Award 2006 Lottery I thought maybe. I was to contact Barrister Clifford Bond to process my prize. He asked for money, then more money for processing. I saw my bank manager and he said it was a scam and Bond had A$38,000.
of my money. The bank manager tried to recover it and so did I. Bond said I would not get my prize unless I paid even more. I told him I was going to report him but he couldn’t care less
I started with the Police, Interpol and quite a few others. Bond even said he could get an investor to pay the large amount but he would want a share of the prize.I hope they catch these criminals and lock them up. A refund of my money would be nice too.

Although I would think that with a 1 million dollar price I might get a phonecall or something. But to play along I said I wass very happy with the winnings.

Yeah…they almost got me too!!! This guys name that emailed me is Jon Bosch. My friend called him. He answered the phone and spoke to her. That doesn’t make it real. But i received the same Belgian Lottery Claim form. They told me to fly to the Netherlands, of course, and someone would pick me up. They even told me what day to be there. Yeah..Okay!!! Don’t let them fool you. NOONE is that nice, PROMISE!!! Think about it. I don’t know what’s wrong with people just playing with other people’s emotions. Don’t let them get you.

The one signed by Elina Raynes even put “(Mrs.)” afterwards … as if we’re more likely to think, “Hey, wait a minute, this wasn’t sent by some big bad hairy man, but rather by a kind, faithful soul. I got too an email from Sarah Benson stipulating that I won a prize from Heineken promotion. Crazy… Because I use too drink Heineken beer : ) Anyway, it’s doesn’t take a long time to understand that all of this is totally false. my husband got three the same scam emails from three different people, two are from netherlands( Dr. Karl Peterson and Miller Green) and one from Spain. I had a hint that this is not really true so i told him not to pay for anything unless he is sure about it. I did the investigation until i saw this site. so thank God that i know now…the worst is my husband has given them all his personal info, so how is that..what could happen.I’ll tell him to stop exchanging emails with them from now on…

I received the following e-mail scam at 11:00amEST, on January 15th 2008. I immediately searched for information about this con artist, MR.JOE VAN HAEZEBROUK and his accomplice, fictitious name or not, Mrs. Sarah Benson (Promotions Coordinator), and determined that my suspicions were correct. There is no way that a person could be the winner of a lottery for which they did not purchase a ticket! This is especially significant, if the announcement is made via a Hotmail address. What a joke, but I can see how some unsuspecting individuals could be tricked into believing that their dream and everyone else’s dream of becoming a millionaire, could be a reality. I really pity anyone who falls for any of this and divulges any personal information, let alone any kind of banking or financial information! Here is a copy of the contents of that e-mail:
