Nobody knows what went wrong when Promotion Director “Alvaro Manuel Pablo” or agent Vincente Garcia where compilating and sending out this lottery scam spam. They only sent one mail, but they managed to repeat their message four times in the same e-mail. And it’s a lottery scam allright. It bears all the markers such as a redicilously large amount of 805,550.90 Euros (I kind of wonder how they agreed on that ammount), the warning not to go public due to the risk of a “mix up of numbers and winning email addresses”, the need for a speedy reply, and of course the fact they they don’t even seem to know what email address they have sent the mail to…

Here goes:

I my name is Jessica and I did not recieve a email I recieve a letter!!! Same thing as the email thing though!! I was torn and did not know what to do because I did not want to be the fool! How do we know that we have not won money?? What if it really is true?? How do you find out? I am so confused and I would love for it to be true!! I have not yet done anything but I was suppose to send the 1950.00 To them to insure the money or i had to pay 1200 to trasfer it to my bank account! Why do they do this to people??
    Jessica Pratt

  2. Nikke Lindqvist Says:

    Hi Jessica,

Believe me. It just isn’t true.

Nifty, aren’t they? 1,950 and 1,200 in what currency? Tell them your are a bit short of cash but that they can deduct the handling fee from your winnings and just send you a check.

Actually, what they are doing, is several things. First they want to make you pay 3,150 dollars/pounds/euro/whatever. Secondly (if they can) they would very much like you to hand over your bank account and the right to transfer money from it as well.

  3. karwa yaryam Says:

    hi im karwa yaryam,

    thank you

  4. Nikke Lindqvist Says:

    Hi Karwa,

I can of course not be definitely sure about your ticket, but the mail I received was nothing but an attempt to scam a little money out of me, and even attempt an identity theft.

Don’t respond. Just trash the mail, and forget about it. That’s my advice.

  5. Mary B Says:

I received e-mails via a security company (which does have a website) re this so-called lottery win. (I do not recall ever purchasing a ticket but I have recently joined the Iberia Airline club).

I sent the Security firm a scanned picture of my passport (an expired one) and completed a form. The securty firm have now forwarded to me a Certificateof Award but are now asking for a ‘Municiple Task Fee’ of over a thousand euros - which converts into £712, which I am supposted to transfer to the Local Government of Madrid via Ministerio de Economia Y Hacienda - via Ministerio de Economia Y Hacienda (which does seem to exist).

    However, I am suspicious…..

  6. Nikke Lindqvist Says:

    Hi Mary,

You have every reason to be suspicious. May I wonter what kind of e-mail service these alledged officials and security firms are using?

Good move to send them a scan of an expired passport. Didn’t you get any reaction to that?

i have seen too many scam emails like this in my mail box. and i am tired of them. i blocked the senders, but they still could manage to send other similar emails to me using other email address.

  11. Mark Says:

My poor mother in law recieved this exact same letter today (April 18, 2007). She was so excited because the letter was post marked from Spain and bore the logo of a bank she had an account with there years ago. She thought for sure she could tell all her kids to stop working. ha ha.

  12. Cues Says:

    Dear Nikki L.,

My dad received a posted letter and has the similiar request but called e-lottery syndicate. The content is similiar but I am asked to contact Don Martin Alexandre and release order department Corredor de Seguros S.A. Can you verify that the above is fake.

    Rgds

  13. Yavuz Says:

  14. Isabell Says:

Hi there, I also just got a letter from them to contact Compania de Seguros Atlanticos SA, a certain Mr Carlos Malolo saying I had won 615180 Euros. Definitely too good to be true! :-) same thing. I think it might be a good idea to let some authorities in Britain or Spain know about this…
    regards

  17. Lavanya Says:

    Hi

I have received a letter from International Lotto Commission saying I have won 615,810 euros and the agent has got the money now. They have asked me to send a form with lots of personal data and bank details to transfer 90% of the price money. Another big scam.

  18. Tony Says:

I got a letter from Spanish Sweepstake International Promotions Programme but it read virtually the same as the email above. I had apparently won €785,510.00. Don’t anyone be fooled by these scams. It’s got to be scam. Why do they need a security deposit, why not take it out of the winnings. don’t worry that you might be losing out on riches. They say if it seems to good to be true, then it usually is.

  19. ron thomas Says:

hi,I too have received a very official looking letter from a LUISE WAYAS to say that I had won €618,810,00 on the spanish sweepstake lottery. Why is no one acting to stamp out this scam as it is criminal to raise peoples hopes falsely.

  20. Khudadad Khokhar Says:

A letter No____________ Bearing the Headings “EURO MILLION ESPANA S.L” was sent to me on 16th July 2007 that was recieved by me on 25th July 2007. It also inclded a Reference No, A Batch No and a Security File No. It says that I have won 410,000.00 Euros with the Ticket No…. in the third Category. It further asks me to contact with their registered Claims Agent, DEUTCH SECURITIES AGENCY whose Phone No. and Fax No. have been provided in the letter. I wonder if I can file a case of fraudulent , missguidance and playing with human feelings and psychology. Of course I deserve the right to take them to International Court of Justice for playing with innocent Human Feelings and Psychology. Can any one has further advice for taking such scammers to the Courts of Justice in this world. I shall be pleased to hear any advice or comments. Thanks.

  21. dilon Says:

    hi there,

My dad also received a posted letter and has the similiar request but called e-lottery syndicate. The content is similiar but I am asked to contact Don Martin Alexandre and release order department Corredor de Seguros S.A. Can you verify that the above is fake or true…..
……..I’ll try to fax back the form required and waits if the payment have been done………if there is no effect, the similiar website will be terminated or the syndicate may result in severe civil and criminal penalties, and will be prosecuted to the maximum extent possible under the law.

  27. Bojchy Says:

    Hello to all!

I just received the email from Seguros Security SL. I decidet not to claim from them. Why? …. Experience. Two or three years ago, I recived almost the same email from organization that was located in Amsterdam (they were hiding by the name of Freelotto, but they didnt have anything to do with the real Freelotto.com), with the notice, that I have won 1 milion€. Of course as girl with out a job and with a lot of depts, I was wery happy for my winning.
Problems statrted when I started to claim my winnings. First I had to pay some fee (i dont know anymore why) in worth of 150€. OK, i asked my mom to loan me some money and payd it. Then they asked me to pay 940english pounds for som legal ntotification or something. I got some more loan to pay this. And after that they again wanted me to pay for something…. I told them (we contaced by mail and phone) that Im unemployed and that I already had to loan money to pay for those fees and that I would lik them to deduct this payment from my wining. No they say, that is not possible. Bla, bla, bla. Aftr my last email to them, where I writed that is no fer to say to the people that are alerady in depts to claim money for a winning. After that mail no one responded.
After big desipointment I started to search on the internet for the company and those people and find out, that they are criminals and that the winnings are a big frauds!!!
Dont fall for the same stupid thig as I had.

    Regards

  29. Zak C (UK) Says:

Recieved letter 31st August 2007 WINTERTHUR SEGUROS COMPANIA S.A. “SCAM”
: DR Antonio LOPES Tel: 0034 651 567 749 (This is a Mobile number) thought why would an official letter have a mobile number?
Phoned and spoke to Antoinio Lopez who said to faxed the form.

Faxed on their Lottery Payment Form: details to: 0034 911 011 725 (£4) but did not complete bank details just ticket payment by certified cheque.

Next day: recieved phone call from: Don Pablo Oscar
Bank Santander Madrid 0344 626 3309 Direct Number
Informed me that there was a Certified Cheque for £420,677 pounds sterling, this is tax free under international lottery rules.. hmmmm sounds convincing.
Said I wanted it paid in Euros to a spainish account.. which threw him.

Went on to say after very officially confirming my details and address.
that there was an need to “PAY” IVA hmmmm thats local spainish taxes.
Which I know start off at 4% upto 16% sum of £975 % of what? @what rate £420,677,000

The Amount of £975 to contact the agent who would inform me of what to do next? so I have to contact the agent direct and speak with them to arrange payment.. Hmmmmm yeah me finx not..

Thats where I left it.. but made scan of the letter and emailed to a friend in Spain to look at…
today I was informed to look at this web site… lol
Firstly: as soon as any mention of payment is made.. thats the “SCAM”

This is being passed on to police also Bank Santader.. As they are using the Bank as some form of front.

If this was official wouldn’t they require proof of “Purchase” or some sort of Ticket.. dont forget those 2 numbers ought to be monitored :
    Madrid 0344 626 3309 Direct Number
    Tel: 0034 651 567 749 (This is a Mobile number)

  30. jacqui cameron Says:

Please inform me about the progress in the process of my claim. Thank you!

  36. Nikke Lindqvist Says:

    @Shujaat Parvez

I hope you by now have realized what this site is all about. If not. The purpose of this site is to expose the scammers that send out fake e-mail lottery mails, like the one you received. There isn’t any money to claim, since the senders are fraudsters (scammers, thieves or whatever you want to call them) who operate on the sole purpose to convince people that they should pay commissions, fees, taxes, and even bribes during the process of claiming the proceeding from lotteries that doesn’t even exist.

After having also received a winning letter from this company here are the details of the two participants of this scam
Mr Antonio Lopez Foreign Operations Manager 0034655497805
Dr John Paco apparently “Bankmanager” Tel 0034628602993

Somebody from the Bank or Police should enquire about those 2 gentlemen

  41. Anna Says:

We got a nice looking letter in the mail from Spain, with the contents almost identical to those posted above. Ours was from “Mr. Albert Lopez.” We are to fill out a form with to bank account name and number, including a “photocopy of personal identity.”
We knew it was fraudulent, of course. I looked up the address given for Filter Security Agency SA on GoogleEarth-looks to be a high rise office or apartment block.
I suggest that people who receive a letter, take it to the post office for fowarding to the to the office of the inspector general.
Please be smart and not send these people any money.

  42. Tammie Says:

I have had a letter today that includes all the details I have read above. The only thing that really differs is the names. I was told to contact Mr Manuel Lucas who is the Foreign Operations Manager. We have contacted the National Lottery who informed us that this is a scan and loads of people have been calling anout. Of course, I couldnt resist trying to call the numbers given and didnt get anything on one and on the other couldnt understand what was being said as I dont speak Spanish!!!!!

  43. Anthony Says:

I just received one of these famous leters myself today. After looking into the website of the lottery i realizd this is just a scam and a very popular one.Just found it very odd that it only took 3 says for a leeter to travel from spain to canada. Wish i could get local leters that quick. So people beware and thanks for exposing these scams for what they are

  44. bridget Says:

    Hi All

Received a scam letter today 26/10/07.Stating I was the lottery winner of SIX HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED AND TEN EUROS ONLY!
‘DUE TO MIXED UP OF NAMES AND ADDRESSES WE ASK THAT YOU KEEP THIS AWARD FROM PUBLIC NOTICE UNTIL …BLAH, BLAH, BLAH’! i Knew it would be a scam as I wouldn’t do a lottery and heard about things like this. Anyway I called THEM to get their business/company registration details so that I could see if they were legit AND report them to authorities. Well! talk about being evasive. I also informed them that since they had my home address details why didn’t they just deduct their 10% they required and post me the balance, as they believe I live at that address and don’t require any of my details so they should consider it legit. The gentleman I spoke to (who had an african accent, not spanish) informed me that it was up to me if I wanted the money or not and put the phone down. I am going to report this company to all and any one I can think off.

BE VERY AWARE OF LA PRIMITIVA, APARTADO DE CORREOS 129, 28085, MADRID SPAIN. TEL: 0034 646 352 204

The site which owned this e-mail address is consultant.com. It actually is just the marketing site to make money.

I looked a little further and saw the hosting company of this website is

    Locrian Enterprises

  46. Sarah Says:

Hey Bridget, and every other person here!
A friend of mine also recived a letter, luckily they showed me, they were so excited, but I knew straight away it would be a scam! Think all us Brits should contact watchdog about this to warn everyone else in UK.

    Sarah

  47. marcus Says:

i also received a letter saying iv won money from the euromillions, a mistake was made on the 20th august, which was funny enough the same time that i was on holiday in puerto rico in gran canaria, so i was curious if this was of any relevance. i think that calling watchdog is a good idea. someone might fall for this scam!

  48. Neroxx Says:

    Hello there.

If you have received either an email or a letter stating you have won x amount of money in a lottery you never entered - THEN IT’S A SCAM !!

***DON’T START THINKING, BUT WHAT IF? COULD IT BE TRUE? ETC ETC - IT’S NOT***

Anyone who is stupid enough to believe it, and then send money off with your bank details, then you deserve to get ripped off.
If it’s an email - delete it. If it’s a letter - bin it.

You’ll thank me in the long run.

  49. Rita Says:

I got the letter in the mail. They worked hard to make it appear real - the “stamp” is actually initialed in ink.

    very annoying.

  50. HMLotfy Says:

I have received a letter from eurogrante@consultant.com mentioning that they give me an appointment in their office as a planning assistant in business administration department. I was surprised how this handsome offer comes without putting efforts and now they are asking for my passport scanned copy ofemail so that they can send me a work permit. I immediately search a lot of authenticity and finally i got this website to trace their credibility and let me know how i can get the concrete information about this company.www.consultant.com with the new email id eurogrante@consultant.com

They mention my basic pay is 4300 Euros , 800 Euro (Monthly Pocket Allowance), Free meal with accomodation, free laptop for office and home, free mobile and landline calls and also pick and drop facility.

    Is it possible?

I shall be very kind enough if you send me updates.

  54. Esaie Ntidendereza Says:

    Waoww…
From Toronto, Canada, I received postmail letter same as described in post 50 above.
I was kind of fool but thought it might be true…since it is originated in a modern society/country such as Spain (not Nigeria) Called in and spoke to some guy who claims is DON MARTIN RODRIGO VICENTE. Calmly he confirmed I won 575,982.30 Euros …bull shit. He added I should fill in the form and choose the option of payment… no money have been asked from me though…
Told him is Driver’s licence ok enough or should I had in a copy of my Canadian Passport…he said “preferably copy of passport”

I can’t believe Spanish Gov is tolerating this kind of spam…false info being sent to correct addresses and honest citizen around the world.

I believe the poilice in Spain as well as Gov in the USA and Canada, Australia, UK are well aware of this wrong doing… and still tolerating it.

    Going back to work…

  55. Arlene Says:

Got the same letter as the guys above and was ecstatic upon it’s reciept. However, how can I win a lottery in Spain if I have not even been to that country, nor even speak enough Spanish to buy a goddamn ticket!!! I have been holding on to the letter until I’ve completed my background checks. Well, after seeing this webiste, I guess it’s really dumb of me to keep holding on as it’s obvious that it’s a SCAM. Unbelievable!!!

  56. uniq Says:

this is totaly fraud!!!nobody want give to u all this much money.

  57. fad Says:

received same letter today, from loteria primitiva, tried to call at 10PM Toronto’s time, the phone is turned off, I know that the Police wouldn’t do anything, Scams were never a priority, the police don’t try to catch even the local scammers why would they bother with the international ones. the sad thing is that people do fall for this, I myself thought that the letter with all the reference numbers looked very credible, but i wondered why would they send a scanned copy instead of an original. I’m sure that the names used are fake. so apparently there isn’t much we can do about this but inform others and ask them to be careful.

  58. gian Says:

my friend have just sent her license photocopy. i dont know if what they are going to do with that. is there something that we can do to stop this. is there be a possible problem after we have sent it. i hope there will be no problem. thanks

  61. Lindsey Says:

Thank you! I have just received my letter telling me that i have won 785,510.00 euros and that I should fill in all my personal details and the agent JOHN CARLOS PINTO, the foreign service manager of RIVER VIEW SECURITY COMPANY S.P. would process my claim to a bank of my choice but 10% belongs to them and 5% goes to EPUESTAS DEL ESTADO DE ESPANA. The phone number is the same as the one above which is 0034 646 352 204 but the address is PLAZA DE EUROPA/ 40, C-14541, MADRID. the envelope had a normal spanish stamp on it so it looked quite good but it has all now gone through the shredder!!! Its definatley a scam

  62. Maria Says:

November 24, 2007 9:00 am. I received a letter exact content as that in post 45 above with the same winnings (that’s rediculous). The letter was addressed to my husband and since it mentioned it’s going to expire on the 30th of Nov i gave this Mr Don Martin Rodrigo Vicente a call telling him my husband is away so we can’t beat the Nov 30th deadline to claim the prize. He said i can claim it on his behalf, i even asked him how we won in the lottery, i don’t recall his answer because i was in a shock state at that time. I went online to check about them and here i am waking up to the reality that i did not win anything. I was thinking what to do with the money….hahaha.

  63. Irena Says:

I am from Toronto, Canada have also received a letter stating I won $794,000 ! Sounds exciting but complete bullshit after i did my research on the internet and found this webpage. I am a little concerned from where do they get my address and name !!! And what else they might do with this info ! SHouldn’t we go to interpol or police ? has anyone tried to contact authorities ? Basically what is my next step to protect my family from this fraud !? The letter has a post mark from Spain and was sent overseas so how could they get my info ??? Please advise if you have contacted authorities and what was their response?

  75. Raymond D. Says:

I received a letter last week from El-Catalejo Lottery Board S.L. Which came to me via Canada Post, forwarded to my new address, after putting in a change of address with post office. Because I had been playing the Euro Millions Lottery, I believed it could be true. I called Don Martin Rodrigo Vicente, who asked me to fax over the completed form and a valid piece of I.D. I sent him the completed form and a copy of my Drivers license. Today I received a call from him, asking me to send a money gram for $ 2,750.00 to Malcom Francis C Bugos 58 28141 Madrid Spain. Also he said to make sure that my name was on the receipt for the money gram and fax the receipt to 011-34-911-849-860. At that time once the payment was received, the money would be paid to me by bank transfer. What can I do to stop them from using my Drivers I.D. and bank transfer information against me.

  76. Mae Says:

received from EURO MILLIONS INT’L Lottery board SL.Madrid Spain 2weeks ago.I filed it without viewing, that’s where it should have stayed,OOPS i peeped,WOW it blew me away, i believed it to be true and official.Batch, Referance, Track, and Winning numbers. I phoned to verify the statement made, spoke to a DR Joesph Lopez the agent, who seemed genuine, he constantly expressed CONGRATULATIONS you have won. On Saturday 15th December 2007 at 2.30am New Zealand time, I received a call from Mr Oscar Ripol, the Bank Manager of BANK SANTANDER MADRID,SPAIN, he requested I pay $1950.U.S. for Bank Transaction fees. I stated, U take out before sending, he said, No can do. By this stage it sounded questionable as to the lottery being legit. Im lucky for the support of my family and friends as I would have been swallowed up and spat out. Near enough a gullable believer. I intend to cancel my bank a/c number given, lucky I only had $2.00 in it. Im hurt over this as I had big plans of donating some of the money to the Childrens Hospital. I didn’t lose anything, just gained a fat telephone bill. OLD SAYING, BUYER BEWARE, it’s your own actions you suffer by.

  77. James Says:

They must be making money out if this scam to be able to post out letters with 58 cent stamps on

  78. Lara Says:

When I phoned they told me that you have to insure the money so I am thinking that it might be fake the lottery’s name is “Euromillones Loteria International S.L” Can you please answer my questions by sending me on my email address.

    Thanks for your help

  79. OMER Says:

I had received a letter from euro millions espana s.l that contains a ref.no and batch.no ticket.no security file no..It is written that i had won 700,000.00 euros please tell me is it fake or not

  80. Arvin Says:

    OMER,

    Its a fake!
Also, DO NOT send any money or bank details to them.
Ask them to call you and find out how they got your address and who registered you for the lottery.

I wish someone would physically meet the scammers and tell us what they look like. I would love to put a fist in their face.

I personally have never fallen for such scams (and I’ve got about 100 such letters/emails till date). However, I am sure there are some people who are gullible enough to fall for this.
I wonder how much money such scammers have made… maybe millions of $$$ ?!?

I saw a show “Dateline NBC, to catch a scammer” which attempted to catch and expose the “Nigerian inheritence fund” type of scammers. Was quite funny.

Any ideas where or how they get my addresses? I don’t recall giving my postal address to dodgy sites.

  81. nicole Says:

we can be aware of something but it also can be very easy to fall into the trap of this scam.

im so glad to have read mail of others. YES i have received a letter to my address with my full name/sir name from this loot winning company. I am aware of scams and so have been trying my best to get the people of my back, i have questioned them on the phone. i have spoken to african accent men, one from the bank of spain and other from the security company pacific segurosa s.a. they are asking me for money transfer of £1,995 to release my check of 615,810 euros. i tried to be clever i have bank details from, them to transfer this money i have names and numbers as i knoe people to get money can make up companies which do not exist.

but guess what the man gave me not a company name but a personal account details. the one at the bank calls him self dr affa de louis and the other at the company is mr daniel wilson. be aware of them,

i then asked for a confirmation letter for the sum i would send so i have some back up, guess what i get via email. a certificate of my winnings, i was told i bought stuff in spain and i won which is all rubbish i never have.

i have been now searching for real life evidence of people like this and i have come accross others who have been through.

i may have been clever but i did fall for the trap i did want to see what happens so i did send a fax with my name and address to them, but now im worried hope nopthing is used.

i need help, advice that i am still safe.

  85. Brian Says:

    Hi,
I am from Ireland and I received a letter in the post from Roberto Pablo of Euro Millones Lotteria Y Apuestas S.L informing me that I have won EU 785,510.00. The wording and address details are similar to those described in other emails / posts.
I will not be replying to this SCAM - thanks to those who posted earlier notes warning of this scam …….

  86. rosemary hudson Says:

I received a letter in my name dated 31/01/08 telling me of a prize E615810. The contents of the letter were very similar to those posted above with minor variations. Letter came from Mrs Maria K Gomez, vice president and the agent’s name is Oscar Garcia. The tel nos are slightly different. Needless to say I shall not be sending my bank details. If anyone has done so they should inform their bank at once and ask them to stop any withdrawals. I intend to inform my local trading standards officer.

  87. Bridie Says:

Hey, you ok, thanks for the above comments, was really into this as about to loose my house due to losing my job, so this really appealled to me. After faxing back the letter, i recieved a call to say that asi was not a spanish citizen i would need to pay, 1800 pounds for insurance purposes, when i said i did not have that sort of money, they told me to get in touch with the security comapny who would help me out with the payment. So i spoke to the security company, who then said i would have to pay the full amount to get the cheque, sent out in the post, he even told me to check the internet, and that they was a real company! hense i checked and found you guy’s, thank you for saving me money that i really have not got, nice idea, though to get money for nothing!

  88. John Says:

My 88-year-old mum, who visited Spain back in 1959, got a similar letter yesterday from Lototurf (Lotoluck) Loterias S.L. in “Bacelona” (they can’t even spell!) with much the same wording in it & saying she was awarded euros 680,000. The dead giveaway was the very pixellated logo (low-res, probably taken off the Internet) of Apuesta Hipica Lototurf, a legit lottery body, used as a kind of letterhead. Thanks to all you guys & girls, I know what’s up & am not going to reply. But I am going to complain to the Spanish Embassy here in Singapore. I’m also going to tell my colleagues in the media & hopefully they will do an expose & warn people of these scams. Thanks again to all!
