Nu vet jag hur brittiska sökmotoroptimerare med tveksamt rykte marknadsför sig. Jag fick just nedanstående mail från en anställd på WebsearchPR i Brighton. En första kommentar är att SEO-företagets egen sajt helt saknar PageRank. Detta torde väl vara en första sanity check att göra innan man börjar sälja länkar, för det är länksäljande de erbjuder. Google känner bara till en enda sida från sajten. Samma sak på Yahoo, som inte hittar en enda inlänk till WebsearchPR. Visserligen är den ny (Netcraft visar 100% risk), men borde man inte se till att man har åtiminstone en inlänk innan man börjar sälja en inlänkningstjänst? Att WOT visar hög risk är också ett bra tecken på att WebsearchPR nog inte är ett företag man bör anlita.

Men jag kan inte låta bli. Jag bara måste svara dem att jag nog tycker att de ska sopa rent framför sin egen dörr innan de skriver och tycker att en av mina sajter har för lite länkar. Att 572 inlänkar enligt Google är väldigt bra och att Drinkalizer.com för övrigt 13 129 inlänkar enligt Yahoo. Ett bra resultat för ett vilande projekt. Undrar vad de svarar…

Thanks for your complimentary link check. I’m very pleased with the
572 incoming links that Google reports, and even happier with the
13,129 incoming links that Yahoo Site Explorer reports.However, you might want to take a look at your own site’s position in
the search enging results pages. A GooglePR of 0, no incoming links
reported either on Google or Yahoo, only one page indexed in G and Y,
plus a risk rating of 10 from Netcraft…. It just doesn’t look good.
Maybe you should apply your own services before selling them to
others?I also couldn’t help to notice that you have a very poor trust ranking
with WOT, something you might want to look into while you are at it.Best regards,
