Monday after easter is a holliday in Sweden and all other Nordic countries. Today also happens to be my sister’s birthday. But since she’s in Copenhagen, and I started my day in Klackberg and end it in Stockholm after a slippery, 170 km drive away, I’ve only talked to her over the phone.

Winter is taking it’s revenge on us. We’ve actually seen more snow during easter, than during the rest of the winter. Still, it’s been a really good easter. On Good Friday, we had a dinner with our downstair’s neighbours in Klackberg (Johan Christiansson and Lena Carlsson and their daughters Linnea, Clara and Nadja) and our friends who have a summer house in nearby Högfors (Dan Rasmussen and Marina Steinmo and Marina’s kids Filippa and Andreas). We ate the traditional easter lamb with an exceptionally good Lebanese red wine (Chateaux de Cedre) that my friend Elias Kai gave me on my birthday.

Easter saturday (påskafton) was rather sunny actually, and Lena and I took a long walk with Chili. In the evening we had another house dinner with lots of eggs, pickled herring, smoked lamb, salmon and, of course, lots of easter candy eggs.

We’ve seen a lot of good films and just generally had a really good time. I’m all for easter.
