How bad would it have to get before you would ask a complete stranger in a far away country for help in lifting 12.5 million Dollars from the bank?
I know that life is really bad for most people on Zimbabwe. I actually grew up there, and my parents are still in contact with friends who have far from good lives.
Still. The below empail is clearly nothing but a scammer’s attempt to make money on the fact that most people in the world are actually good, and would go out of the way to help a total stranger. Specially if there is a buck to be made… Technically, the mail below is just another angle of a 419 letter. I have actually edited it a bit for readability, since it arrived with hideous line breaks.
The mail does however contain a few good links as to understand the situation in Zimbabwe.

We are a family that need help from you, we are from Zimbabwe the south of Africa and we are farmers but we are having a very big problems with the President Mr. Robert Mugabe because my husband said that what he is doing to the white farmers is bad by sizing there farmlands and there personal belonging and also sending his mobs and aids to destroy there property.
My husband was killed by his aids and they confisticated all our property so me and my two children had to ran to Sudan through the assistance of our family lawyer who stays in South Africa. Presently I and my two children are now seeking a political asylum in Sudan.
Hence the help we need from you is to help us claim the sum of ( Twelve million, five Hundred thousand dollars ($12.5m dollars) that my husband left or deposited in a finance house before his untimely death. Since the law of Sudan forbids a refugee (asylum seeker) to have such amount in an account thus my family is face with the dilemma of investing this amount of money in your country because I will not like to go through the same experience in future since both countries have similar history. Moreover the Sudan foreign exchange does allow such investment from asylum seekers.
We cannot go and make the claim and if we try the President have people all over that will know and they will seize the funds, so I Mrs. Susan Buwala is Writing to you in person after I saw your banking experience and as a big brother nation to help us and claim this fund you can stand as a partner to My late husband and send to the finance house an application for claim or retransfer of the funds to your account and you will have 30% of the total Amount and if you like invest our share in your country but it is very important you help us to come over to your great country.
Please forward all response to my email:firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you and God bless us all.
Mrs Susan Buwala
