My first Haitian 419 mail!
The sender claims to be Privert Rudy, the son of Jocelerme Privert, former interior minister in Haiti.
The setup is classic with the mention of five million British pounds. The mail is backed up with some good links. But still, it’s an obvious variation of the well known 419 mails. However, it has a nice flaw, an that is the mail footer from the Thai email provider, Hunsa.com. I’m not sure the Thai characters will be visible for you, but they are the funny looking things at the bottom of Privert’s mail.

With the uprising in Haiti and the present incarceration of Jocelerme Privert, the highest ranking Government officer who was Minister for interior until recently, there is no safe haven for his relations of which I am his first Son. I am currently granted asylum by the government of Dominican Republic.
Following the fall of my father’s regime recently, I am constrained by the circumstance to seek your assistance in liquidation of bearer bonds and stocks worth over £5,000,000.00 (five million British pounds sterling). My father was legally advised by his attorney to convert most of his cash to stocks and bearer bonds which can not be traced to him by the government to avoid it being embargoed by the incoming regime, since most of the money was from government contracts of which he used cronies.
Just before I was exiled, I was issued with a power of attorney to handle my father’s estate; I instructed the stock brokers to convert these stocks and bonds to cash and is still in a safe deposit with Sapphire Securities in Europe.
This is why I need someone that is in no way related or affiliated to me to help me claim this fund, As any connection of this funds to my family name would lead to it being seized since the money was illegally acquired and because I am being watched constantly by the new government of Haiti, Acting as my helper, I can arrange for you to claim this funds and then get it transferred to a designated account, after you must have deducted your fee for assistance, (which will be discussed upon your reply of this mail) and kept for safekeeping and possible investment.
This money is also the hope I have for my father’s release from prison, as he has been jailed without trial. There was an assassination attempt on his life on the 8th of November this year, which has also facilitated my urgent need to act fast before another attempt on his life. I have spoken with some of my inside sources in Haiti, and they assured me that the release can be arranged with enough cash, and as you know, every body has his or her own price. I hope that your own will not be too much.
