What is not a personal pronomina. I know that, and since I’m pretty sure Gloria Hole is not a person, i wonder what it might be.
During the past few days the logs of this site shows numerous false referrals from various blogger blogs with a few things in common. They all seem to belong to the same spammer (presented as Gloria Hole) and neither of them have any real posts. However, the few posts that are there are filled with comments from furious bloggers fuming over the spammy comments left by the Gloria Hole.
I won’t link to them, but the urls to these blogs have even more in common. They are all run by Blogger, and the names are quite similar.
And. While I’m writing this, re-checking the names I see that some of them are already turned into redirects to adult sites.
So, I have been spammed by false referals. I wonder how they did it? Each site have their own pet machine visiting one of my areas and one of my pages, over and over again… Leaving the trace of an IP number and a false referral URL. A new way of spamming with blogs?
However. The Sub-area visited by these spammers happens to be the Blasphemy area! And the page then visited is the page about the imfamous Objective Ministersand their visits from their click counter to N!kke’s Index. And since I always love a good conspiracy, I now have a new set of ideas about what might be going on. Is someone trying to teach me not to trust referrals in logs?
However. The trick of false referrals isn’t new. I’ve seen it for quite a while, often with very strange URLs used, that would never have a link to this site, or URL’s that just doesn’t exist. But spamming with this method? If you’re doing it you must be quite confident that other peopple actually check their referrals. Most of the thime it must just be a waste of bandwidth. My bandwidth that is, mind you!
