What is Gouranga?

I’ve been hit by loony spam before, and I’m not the only one who’s predicted that we will see more religous spam. Still finding the Gouranga mail when going through the last two weeks of spam made me very curious.

My first thought was viral marketing, specially after seeing the first listing in Google’s SERPs. But after reading through some of the blog posts about it, I’m more ready to label it religous spam.

Call out Gouranga be happy!!!

Gouranga Gouranga Gouranga ….

That which brings the highest happiness!!

Richard Dish seems to be best informed. It turns out to be some kind of Hare Krishna chant. And as far as chants go, their effect is better the more widespred they get.

So now, that I have helped spread Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s divine name, I guess this piece of loony spam has had even more effect…
