Comment to PayPal

The PayPal blog has been down during most of the weekend, due to a high demand from people to see if the decision to close down the WikiLeaks account was true, no doubt.

Now that it’s up again the comment functionality is gone from the WikiLeaks post.

I just posted this to the most recent entry on the PayPal blog, and since PayPal now has proven their stance on freedom of speech, I have no hopes whatsoever that it will ever come out of the moderation que. So, as promised. Here is the comment hosted on my very own, much more liberal platform:

Ordinarily, this would have been of great interest to me, but after the current events regarding PayPal’s political stance visavi Wikileaks, this news has lost all of it’s significance for most international netizens.

There is an uproar going on against your decision to close down Wikileaks’ account. And even if it’s your right to take this stance and interpret your TOS in any way you please, it is our right to just leave. Yesterday I closed my PayPal account. And lots of people are doing the same.

Just wanted to let you know, and sice I have no hopes of this comment being published on the paypal blog, I will publish it on my own site as well.
