eLoterie International 2007
A visitor by the name of Michael, posted the below mail from the eLoterie’ International in a comment to another post. The e-mail is signed by the name of Stewart Wallis from Wallis & Gallagher Consulting, a company name that up to this point has been impossible to find on the web.
Thanks Michael! My spam filters has evolved enough that I don’t get these anymore.
First, Michael’s very direct comment about the mail he got:
THIS IS MY REPLY TO THE SCAMMERS
The email below is what was sent to me, all number you requested are available. One question… why are there so many misspellings and miss use of proper English? Are you possibly trying to scam me? If so, I cant wait for the part when you tell me there are some sort of taxes I have to pay upfront or shipping, please please please lets get on with it. What did I win, when will I receive payment?
If you check in again Michael, don’t hesitate to post any followup mails from the scammers to your reply. They would of course be really stupid to reply to such a call-out, but intelligence is rarely one of these scammers’ strong sides. Thick headedness is though, so they might just as well try to convicne you that you have actually won something…
And so on to the actual sting email from the scammers sending out winning notifications regarding the eLoterie’ International:

hi! every all of you who lost
.
i received the same message, but mine i talked to EQUITY INVESTMENT LIMITED FROM UK 0044-7045706905.THEN THEY TRANSFERED ME TO BANKERSTRUSTBANK UK tel: 0044-7045715814,THEN THEY SAID THE LONDON HIGH COURT DOES NOT HAVE MY FILE .
SO EQUITY INVESTMENT SAID I MUST GIVE THEM CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MONEY BY MONEYGRAM AS A PRESENT TO THEIR LAWYER
AND I RECEIVED CERTIFICATE WITH UK AMBLEM
DOES THIS ONE EXIST B4 I LOSE MY MONEY
May 19th, 2007 at 3:28 pm
jusgt to update eveyone on my experience with the scammer… I took part in a series of correspondance with Stewart wallis (or so I am led to believe)… eventually, they wanted me either to pay 254.99 GBP for transfer of the winnings by draft cheque to my home address or they wanted me to attend the award ceremony yesterday 18th May at 9am in Banex Plaza Southchurch Rd Southend-on-Sea, Essex, London, England.
After checking this address, it turns out to be a fake. Yes, Southchurch Rd. is in Southend on Sea which is in Essex, London….but Banex Plaza happens to be in Abuja, Nigeria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, it looks like a possible Nigerian scam….
have not bothered to answer Mr. Wallis but I will if he dares to e-mail me once more telling me that they did not see me at the non-existant award ceremony and would still like to forward me the cheque…..
best wishes,
Siobhain.

Re: lotteries from UK, Ireland, Belguim, Netherlands etc.
I have made a point of saving all these so called lottery Co. in a period of three weeks I have been awarded somewhere in the range of 85 Billion GBP too bad it’s scamming at it’s worst - the first clue is the spelling and syntax errors and gender mix-ups eg. Mr.Sharon Wilcox the other giveaway is the phrase “due to a mix up in …..”. the third is the idea that you need to keep everything confidential so don’t tell anyone you’ve won - legit lotteries have no reason to keep everything a secret, unless they are drawing #’s illegally but that is a sidebar issue to these online lotto’s. They all seem to have delivery companies that require money to deliver your winnings - transfers of funds as bank drafts are usually done by interbank transfer and normally only a small service fee is needed and that can be paid after the transfer occurs. My only advice is don’t give out any identifiers such as bank account numbers or credit card # that’s common sense. It would be nice if Yahoo could deal with these people as they all seem to be located at Yahoo addresses.

Hey Omair,
Just recieved the same letter as you in Australia. Have yet to provide my information to them, how did it end up costing you 3000euros?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
November 19th, 2007 at 12:54 am
@Sandra,
I’m not quite sure Omair will be here to see your question, but regularly they drive their victims with comissions, invented taxes, made-up bank fees…
But it would be interesting to read Omair’s story if he has calmed down enough to write about it in an intelligeble way.
