I have seen traces that the time traveller has been at it again. Links from various other sites and comments plus replies from various other people. Since earlier experience have tought me that the guy sending these out is something of a raving lunatic who actually believes that he is trapped in time, I haven’t wanted to publish any of these. But today this mail finally reached me.
Time Traveller Bob has been warped for years
I’ve been out of time for two nights, and just came home, eager to catch the latest developements in Dave Hill’s mail conversation with time traveller Bob White. When I left, the package with a phony sample of a ”industrial trans-warp generator” (really parts from a very old, outdated external hard drive).
During my absence things have taken a rather surprising direction. It turns out Time Traveller Bob has been at this for years. (He claims in one of the mails he has sent over 2 billion emails).
Dave is claiming the time traveller’s reward
Dave actually took the time to start a conversation with the lost time traveller at the info@federalfundingprogram.com address. You’ll find their mail exchange below, and even if this whole thing still just might be about time travel, I’ve taken the liberty of editing the thread cronologically, so that it will be easier to read.
The lost space traveller is at it again
In the beginning of May I received the first mail from the lost space traveller in search for a 4 Dimensional Warp Generator # 52 4350a series wrist watch, a GRC79 induction motor, a couple of warp stabilizors and other Sci-Fi gadgets. I was very puzzled at the time. Since then, I have kept getting about another mail like this a week. The reward still seems to be $5,000, but the email address for returing tips has changed.
Time traveller in need of spare parts
I’m not totally sure this really is spam. But it’s strange, and way past anything I’ve ever seen before. Have you ever heared about a 4 Dimensional Warp Generator # 52 4350a series wrist watch? I haven’t. Familiar with the AMD Dimensional Warp Generator module containing the GRC79 induction motor? Uh-hu.
2003-04-28 – Svenskt spam retar fortfarande upp mig mer än t.ex. koreanska. […]
Is stitching big in Korea?
03/14 2003 – I don’t know if stitching is big in Korea, but it must be big enough for somebody to think that he/she might gain something by spaming the world. I don’t read Korean, but there is enough of English in the graphics of this page to get the message. Click here if you […]
How can anybody fall for this?
02/11 2003 – Some of the spam I get is just unbelievable! I can’t help but wonder how anybody receiving a mail like the one below could think ”hey that’s great! Somebody with a netscape.com address has just written to tell me I have been approved for a home loan”? But there must be. Enough […]
