It’s clear that iScammers steal from eachother, implementing ideas that seem to work, just as scammers outside the internet always have done. However, on the web this isn’t such a great idea. After winning five different million Euro lotteries in just a week, people might start to read these winning notifications a bit more carefully.

Then again, there are still new Internet users getting online, and perhaps there are still enough newbies for these iScams to actually pay off.

Here’s the most recent winning notification frome an organization calling themselves Euro Millions Lottery International. The idea that Bill Gates would sponsor a lottery like this is quite entertaining, and that’s the reason it is published here.

Well… The very first question to ask is if the mail you received was sent from a free online mail service, or from a domain that can in any way be connected with either a company called Imperial Investment Agency, S.A?

Then, you can stop and ask yourself if a well known lottery would hold international promotion campaigns without mentioning anything about them on their own web site. After that it is time to reflect on the fact that there is no such thing as a free lunch.

I have also received the similar mail yesterday from euro milliones international lottery progrm and thet also mentioned some steps to link up with some website named alicanteloteria.com which contains the winning number which is mentioned in my mail..dont know wats true or false…That Agent told me to call him tomorrow at 11 a.m but after reading all comments about scams i dont feel like calling him but feeling like hitting him with stick…
if they are fraud plz take some action against them for ditching innocent people like this..God can not forgive such cruel people who play with the feelings of others like anything and make fool of them….

I’m thankful for a website like yours as I have seen the exact copy of my winning letter. Unfortunately, my mother was pulled into such a scam with Nigerians who live in London and were telling her to give them money to move millions into her account that she could obtain 80% for real estate purposes for herself and the scammers. This went on for 2 years and she is in great debt having supported all the complications that required money here and there that she borrowed or put on credit cards. As a result, it was almost FATAL AS FROM STRESS FROM EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL DEBT, SHE SUFFERED A BRAIN HEMORRAGE AND ALMOST DIED. I found these letters that she kept in a file at home where the scammers would ask for money for certifcates, then for more certificates, to move the money to another bank in another country before it could come to the United States and for 2 years this went on and she is in the hospital these past 7 weeks, and we are praying for her recovery to be complete and I will expose all scammers in any way I can so that my mother’s almost fatal injury resulting in this emotional stress of “when will she have this money”, is not in vain. Yes, it becomes an emotional issue when one believes this is the money that is coming to save them. And thank you for having such a website to expose scammers and educated internet users and inform them as you have informed me. I recieved a letter that I won $500,000 euros in the Euro Millions Lottery Promo Program. I was sceptical, so I did a google search and found this website http://www.lindqvist.com/en/euro-millions-lottery-international. Although the Euro email only ask for me to contact a claims agent with basic info like my name, address, telephone number, occupation & age, I gather it is a big waste of time (maybe worse). I am glad that you provide information on these stupid internet scams.

I also got one of those emails from the euro million promo. As usual I had to contact a courier agent to clame my win. Of course the courier company Fronteir Courier Service operates with yahoo address ‘coz their normal email in under maintanance. Yeah, right.
I payed the game and ended up having their banking details, instead of them having mine. Of course the bank account was on a private name and not of the above comany.
I don’t know to whom should i forward the account details, interpol,…? Surely from the account details the respective autorities can at least have positive ID of the scamers.

Try reporting it to the police. The more of us who does that, the more pressure we will add for Interpol to actually start doing something about these scammers.
I don’t have a good address, and I’m not even suer one exists though. The signature “The Spaminator” posted these email addresses in another comment:

Guyz,

I have received a “Award Notification Notice” in a mail week ago from EURO MILLON ESPANOL SIA that i won bla bla euros and i need to call this number to claim for money. Envelope doesn’t have address on it, stamped from spain ‘correos’ address, tel and fax listed on letter.
In such a excitement, i even called this number and talked to the guy, who seems to have Jamaican/Nigerian accent residing in Madrid, Spain(where the notice came from) , while i was talking to him, it was so peaceful, no noise nothing at all, seems like they were desperately waitin for calls (to scam peepz?)
He asked my reference number, name, tel and then figured out what state and country. He also provided another number to reach him (confused) and asked me when will i fax him processing form, so i said probably tomororw ‘he was like good good’ asked me to fill out that form with bank account number (if i want wired transfer) or address (don’t they already have my address?) where the check will be sent to. At the end of the conversation, he said “Congratulations” !! i didnt’ know what to say based on the conversation i was havin with him with all the doubts running around in ma mind.

So, what do u guyz all think?

It seems like a scam because every other person happens to be a winner for the money which is neva meant to be there at first place. I was fool enough to call them and showing interest to claim with all that excitement which you probably going thru, and funny thing is they are more excited than me (who won million) please !!!!!!!!! Well, i still have one more day to claim for the imaginery jackpot lol, i might just call them back to hear their funny jamaican accent ( KONG-RRA-CHU-LAY-SHIONS ) and get their info out. You could call them and find out without giving your personal info especially social or credit card, i would care less about name and address which anyone can pull out from yellowpages or online. So, it won’t hurt you just to confirm what’s all that about if you really think you won something !!!

I replied to one of these scammers and told them to prove that they are legit. Guess what? They told me that they had a website and I could see for myself that they ment business. What a load of crap that website was! It was all in Dutch!!!!!! I wonder if anyone else has seen this site? HANG ALL 419 SCAMMERS!!!!!!

Someone asked why they do this / what do they get out of it. Once they draw you in with greed, they ask for the mark (you) to cover bank account transfer fees so that they can send you the money. Then you need to be authorized, which is another fee. Et cetera forever, and you never get the money. There is a good write up of how 419 scams work here:

These folks are usually professional criminals who are not above physically harming a mark - people have lost their fortunes and also lives while involved with these scams. Just delete the email and walk away. Nobody gives away millions of dollars for free.

I wish. the first step i did was to google the so called EUROMILLION LOTTERY…. and thanks God i found these testimonies. I knew something was wrong, a Milion dollar, are you kidding me? It’s a scam for sure, but I don’t think you need to worry about submitting your name and address. What the scammers want, is to get you to believe that you have won all that money. They want you to feel really stinking rich.

Then, they come up with all kinds of fees, commissions and taxes that have to be payed before you can get the money. In the comments here on the site numerous people have witnessed about paying more and more before realizing that they will never get any money at all.

Hi, I recieved one from Clinton Howard102@yahoo.co.uk, on may 27th 2007, I am in New Zealand and knew nothing about all this but have followed it through as far as receiving confirmation that my,” cheque, certificate,and clear source funds certificate” are waiting for me at a courier company I am to pay courier charges as the check has been insured in accorance with section 13(1)n of the national gambling act . This all sounds real but I do realise it’s a have , I’m allowed to dream.
I found the courier company they quoted on a google search and have let them know what I have received. I did not use the address they gave me. It’s sad being poor, at least it gave me some happy daydreams for a while……Debbie

They seem to change things up a little bit. My E-mail stated that I had won less than 1 million, but well over half a million. Being down on my luck at the time I thought this is the answer to my desperate prayers. RIGHT!!!!!

Glad I found this site and found out about this scam before I really went off the deep end. I was pretty sure it was a scam when they referenced the FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION, LONDON.

As far as I know the FDIC is for U.S. banks only.

I had a similar letter from these guys, and nearly fell for it. Upon reflection, it is so obviously a scam, but what frightens me is that they now know my name through my email address. In my case, I was instructed to ring Mr. Clive Needham (Nigerian Accent ??!) Tel. No. 447011136165 and email euromillionsoffice07@yahoo.co.uk. Address check reveals Camelot offices in Watford, Tolpits Lane, Watford WD18 9RN. Will just have to hope that I am not contacted again.

First of all. You haven’t won anything. The people who sent you the letter just want you to believe you did, in order to start fooling you to pay fees, taxes, commissions and even bribes in order to transfer the money to your bank. The only thing that is absolutely true, is that lots of us got the same mail and letter and that these are sent out by scammers operating from Nigeria.

There are lots of ways these fraudsters might have come across your address. If might, for example, be published anywhere on the web, in an online phone directory or other type of directory listing…

My advise is to just throw away the letter and forget about it.

I too am from Maldives. 3 of my family members, including me got this scam mail through post (snail mail) ON THE SAME DAY!!!!. (Amazing isn’t it). We have become Billionaires in the wink of an eye.

It stated as most of you said…
“We re pleased …. so and so….”. Also to contact the claims agent Mr. Wilfred Benjamin who is the transfer manager of Imperial Investment Agency. They said I won 950,810 euros. It was signed by a Dr. Anthony Franco John.
….And at the end of the letter, they stated, “All correspondence must be directed to your authorized and registered claims agent: Imperial Investment Agency”.
With this they enclosed a form to be filled with my occupation, marital status, passport no. and so and so. and asked me to fax it to +34-659-052-223 or call +34-660-595-089

Also there was a declaration as follows
I…………HEREBY DECLARE, THAT I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY PAYMENT ON MY BEHALF…….and blah blah blah… I HEREBY AUTHORIZE IMPERIAL INVESTMENT AGENCY TO ACT AS MY AGENT IN FACILITATING THE TRANSFER OF MY TOTAL FUND TO ME, AS I MAY WISH.

So All Maldivians and the rest of the world be aware that these are completely 100% frauds. Some guys originate from Nigeria. I think Nigerian government should do something about this. As well as the Spanish government. Or anyone else please give a lesson to these guys. I KNOW YOU GUYS ARE FROM NIGERIA. Maybe affiliated with some Spanish guys as well.

I am saying NIGERIANS because about 6 months back some guys tried to sell PS3 consoles(80gb versions) to me for 200 U.S dollars only. Even at ebay I couldn’t find 80gb versions. And I knew this version of the PS3 was not even on the market yet. First they said they are from U.K and then stated their company is at U.S. So I asked them how they prefer to be paid to which they replied through Western Union. I knew from the beginning these are frauds, for PS3 was just out in the market and the price was unbelievably low. I replied to them because I saw their ad on a free Maldivian website stating they are currently residing at Hulhumale’, (an island near Male’) and so I thought of meeting them. At last they gave me their address : James.. I can’t remember the rest. But what I do remember is NIGERIA, their country as they stated. Most of the times they create their emails on myway.com…. Even on the Euro Million Lottery form they put their e-mail as: impel700@myway.com

From that day onwards I never trust Nigerians. Also some ebay sellers NEVER SHIP THEIR ITEMS TO NIGERIA.
And then this snail mail…. stating I have won a lottery.. Lottery your a***. Final Award your F******* selves.

Haven’t you cannibals had enough, It would be best for you to go and steal your own properties, if stealing fulfill your needs. That way you can be 100% sure u get something. Or go eat up your own flesh you damned cannibals.
